Communications Internship

Founded in 1999, Namlo International is a small international development organization based in Denver. Our mission is to build long-term partnerships with vulnerable communities to support them in developing solutions to promote economic, educational, and nutritional well-being. Namlo’s approach to this work is through an asset-based community-driven approach.

Namlo International’s core programming focuses on services that provide marginalized, impoverished, and isolated communities with access to income-generating opportunities through competitive market linkages, improved educational opportunities through teacher training and school infrastructure, and health and nutritional programming through nutrition training, upgrading sanitation facilities, increasing water access, and promoting organic agriculture that leads to diet diversity and economic security.

These internships are designed to offer students an opportunity to learn about how small international non-profits operate at home and conduct development work in other countries. Duties can include communications and PR, research and evaluation, fundraising support, community outreach, and strategy development, among other assigned duties. Ideal candidates have a genuine interest in international development. These internships will offer interns with the opportunity to interface with the teams in the field.
