Executive Director’s Update – The Matching Grant and Projects

Executive Director’s UpdateKeith Frausto 02 (2)

The great news is, we met our match! Financially that is. As you recall, a few months ago we announced a matching grant of $25,000 from the Benito and Frances C. Gaguine Foundation. As a result of so many of you donating to Namlo, not only did we meet the match, but we surpassed it! Through your generosity and commitment to Namlo, we raised over $40,000. Better yet, we are also very fortunate that the Benito and Frances C. Gaguine Foundation decided to meet the match with a contribution of $42,000. And what is more exciting for us is that they announced that they will donate for another match of $33,000. So again, every dollar you contribute to Namlo is matched by the Benito and Frances C. Gaguine Foundation up to $33,000!

Here’s a quick summary of what we’ve accomplished since the beginning of the year:

Nepal

We have a dedicated team of volunteers with a raft of valuable skills, especially with social media, website development, and grant writing. We now have Kerri Drumm (grants), Annie Smith (scholarship program, business partnerships research & social media), Billy Ackerman (social media, google apps for ngos, blogging), Elena Bean (branding professional), Sunitha Yadav (developing a marketing strategy).

None of the progress above would have been possible without your support.  Please consider donating today, so that your investment is matched by the Benito and Frances C. Gaguine Matching Grant!
