New Namlo School in Sabung, Nepal

This is Namlo's largest school--two stories, 800 students and 16 teachers. Magda and Hugh were there with volunteers in November, 2008 and the villagers told us that this was the first time westerners had ever visited their community.

The teachers and the students were very excited by the school supplies and teaching materials prepared by the Sister Schools. Everyone enjoyed the interactive teaching techniques introduced into the classrooms by the volunteers during their stay.

The community enjoyed having visitors so much that they gathered daily at the school grounds after classes to share their cultural dances, songs and food.
